Part of a multi-campus phased plan of renovations and improvements, $11 million was designated for interior and exterior improvements to 23 buildings on the College Avenue campus of this acclaimed State University.

Features

  • replace roofs and window units
  • repair, re-point and/or power wash all exterior masonry
  • excavate foundations, then repair waterproofing and drain- age systems
  • improve exterior lighting systems
  • upgrade safety systems including fire/smoke alarms, corridor egresses, and emergency lighting
  • replace HVAC and electrical systems
  • address ADA issues in restrooms and entryways upgrading all outmoded bathrooms
  • other interior jobs include painting, replacement of floor coverings and stair treads
  • bring primary transformer and emergency power systems up to code
  • office fit-out for more efficient use of space and/or refurbishment of offices
  • replacement of outdated air handling units and coils

Special Interests

Five buildings are listed on the New Jersey State Historic Register. The construction team placed special care in these exterior renovations and handled each as an historic restoration project.
