Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, San Juan, PR

Chardon Avenue Operations

A new, 110,000 SF banking operations center with extensive telecommunications features and a 1,000 car garage. This is one of the first large steel frame buildings in Puerto Rico. The bank saved approximately $500,000 by using steel rather than concrete which is more commonly used on the island. The building is equipped with telecommunications capabilities necessary to operate the 24-hour telebanking network.

Aguadilla Operations Center

A new, 4,200 SF bank branch building, the prototype of Banco Popular’s forward-looking customer service centers. Features include high-tech design and reinforced concrete construction with extensive use of exterior glass and quality interior finishes.

Cupey Operations Center

A phased renovation at this occupied banking operations center. The work included a fire alarm system and areas for retail, drive-in and ATM banking, an administration center as well as a computer center. A new network center was also created to track the status of every Banco Popular ATM machine on the island.

157 Ponce de Leon Avenue Center

Demolition and reconstruction of a 1,250 SF addition to the 400,000 SF branch in Hato Rey. Free standing walls along the parking lot were demolished and a new entrance lot was created.

Lajas Branch

An interior fit-up of the 4,000 SF banking facility in Lajas, PR included providing monitoring services for this project.

St. Thomas Operations Center

A new, 40,000 SF facility built to withstand hurricane force winds and seismic loads for Zone IV. It includes a 3 level, 75 car garage and full on-site emergency power. The interior has a three storey atrium with open balconies and high-end finishes.

Sugar Hills Estates Branch

Interior demolition and build-out of a 2,500 SF branch also in St. Thomas. Extensive glass was used for the storefront with high-grade interior finishes throughout the branch.
