Renovation and expansion of gallery space for the Museum’s permanent collections as well as ancillary office facilities located in an adjacent brownstone structure.

- state-of-the-art vapor barrier system to maintain con- stant humidity within the gallery preventing damage to the existing structure
- new customized penthouse mechanical system in- stalled, incorporating three existing systems with humid – ity and redundant controls
- new elevator in the museum space
- new interior staircase in the adjacent office facility
- restoration of adjacent landmark brownstone façade
- completed while the Museum remained fully operational
