Renovation of the lobby, Bank Hall and Mezzanine, and the construction of a loading dock for The National Newark Building, a landmark neo-classical/art deco 34 story office and retail structure. Built in 1931, the National Newark Building was once considered the “Crown Jewel of Newark”. A contemporary of the Empire State Building, it was New Jersey’s tallest commercial tower. The renovation preserves the original art deco beauty while incorporating state-of-the-art modern amenities. All renovations took place in the fully operational building without disrupting day-to-day activities.
